When I saw the poster for this movie at a Theater, I was confused (There was no title). Why do the Stormtrooper’s look like the Troopers in the Classic Trilogy? When I heard that they were making a movie that takes place before A new hope, I didn’t want that. But I decided to give it a shot, and I loved it! After I got over the fact that everybody died, that is.
I kind of felt like there was some Chemistry between Jyn And Cassian. If I’m wrong or not, although I’m pretty sure I’m not, it mixed remarkably well. I was thinking of Han and Leia a little bit in the movie.
I thought it was another epic success in the Star Wars series. It had enough Battle sequences to keep me entertained and in my seat. My favorite characters were K-2SO, for his witty and comedic quotes and how he’s not afraid to speak his mind. He is my #1 favorite Droid of all time.
Another favorite of mine is Chirrut Imwe, the blind man. I thought it was cool that they gave an Asian actor the part. The actor did amazing, and I’m very happy with the decision. Chirutt’s friend is also amazing; he had a crazy awesome gun, and every time I see it, I’m just thinking that I want it!
I thought the destruction of Jedha city up close was something that was very different from A new hope. I thought that was a good reason what made Rogue one special. Who knew just destroying a city with the Death star could be so blood chilling.
I loved seeing Darth Vader in a Star Wars movie again. It was amazing to see his dark tower ar Mustafar, the same planet where he lost to Obi-wan Kenobi, and had to be put into black armor. The tower reminded me of A dark tower in the Lord of the Rings. I geeked out over that scene where Darth Vader cut down all those Rebels without any Problems. It was also great to know that his Suit can allow him to survive in Space.
My only complaints are that the CGI used to bring Tarkin and Leia back wasn’t really the best. But that’s pretty much it, it’s a really good movie!
I give this movie an: A.
Thanks for reading, and MTFBWY.
